Have You Ever Gotten Sick out of Nowhere? This Might be Why...

It might seem like certain diseases just “come out of nowhere,” but be assured that this is not the case. Nothing comes out of nowhere. All diseases have causes, whether they’re obvious or not. Many diseases are the result of toxins that accumulate in the body over time, little by little. Their accumulation goes unnoticed because they don’t cause big problems in small amounts. However, after a long time, they build up to the point where they cause illnesses. This point is called a titer, or a critical mass.

For example, many people come to our clinic for respiratory issues. These people don’t appear unhealthy, but the reality is that they’re carrying around fifty years’ worth of toxins inside of them. Their bodies are loaded up with toxins from inorganic food, chemically-treated water, car exhaust, hair products, air fresheners, secondhand smoke, synthetic sweeteners in beverages, and chemicals off-gassing from carpets, fabrics, electronics, plastics, car interiors, paints, and much, much more. Imagine all of these poisonous substances building up in your lungs. Eventually, your body will succumb to the toxins and respiratory problems will ensue. The point at which your body succumbs to the toxins is called a titer.

Toxins build up slowly, little by little. Their accumulation goes unnoticed because they don’t cause big problems in small amounts. However, after a long time, they build up to the point where they cause illnesses. If you want to get the toxins out, do Toxic Weight be Gone. A Sweet, Soothing, Recipe for a Sore Throat

Here is a recipe that will help with those dry, sore, throats:

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F

2. OPTION 1: Asian Pear

Cut an Asian pear in half and scoop out the fibrous core and seeds.

-OR-

OPTION 2: Tangerine

Peel the top part of a tangerine and remove the "core".

3. Add a heaping 1/2 tsp of rock sugar* into the space where you removed the seeds and core.

* we used organic coconut sugar and it worked wonderfully!

4. Bake the fruit for about 5 minutes (bake the tangerine with the remainder of the peel still on). The sugar should caramelize during this time.

Baking your fruit will help with the digestibility, which is especially important if you are recovering from a cold!

5. Allow your fruit to cool (peel the rest of the tangerine) and enjoy!

Brain Boostin' Brahmi Brownie Drink

Here is a tasty tea from our Sunday herb class which will boost your brain power and tastes great:

The King Herb in this formula is Bacopa Monierri a.k.a Brahmi (there are other herbs that have been called brahmi on the market, so check the Latin to be sure!)

This amazing herb brightens the eyes, decreases anxiety and mental tension AND...INCREASES INTELLIGENCE!

Coconut oil delivers this formula to the brain and nourishes the brain as well!

Dry Ingredients

1/2-1 tsp Brahmi (Bacopa Monnieri)

2 tsp Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder

Pinch of salt

Sugar or Stevia to taste

Wet Ingredients

1 tsp-2 Tblsp Coconut Oil

Splash of vanilla

12-16 oz hot water (suggested temp: 195 degrees)

Combine all ingredients and enjoy!

"Homemade" Dit Dat Jiao!

Our herb students put together their first batch of jiao!

Dit Dat Jiao is a topical formula traditionally used in kung fu training to strengthen the bones (and can be used in all contact sports for similar effects).  This unique formula is also used in Chinese orthopedics to make the soft tissue treatments highly effective.  In addition jiao helps heal bruises and reduces joint pain!
